Arc6 uses Seoul SSC P4 LED as its illumination source. As the name suggests, Arc6 is 6&lt;sup&gt;th&lt;/sup&gt; revision of legendry LS series. Like &lt;a href="Arc-AAA-Premium-GS-LED.php" class="link_bl"&gt;Arc AAA&lt;/a&gt;, Way back in 2001 Arc Flashlight was one of the first manufacturer ever to launch a CR123 battery based Power LED flashlight. Arc6 is designed as a bright illumination tool for EDC (Every Day Carry) keeping four key factors in to consideration namely flashlight size, runtime, brightness and durability. Firstly, the size to be  small &amp; pocketable so that you can carry it on a daily basis without any concerns i.e. easy for every day carry. Secondly the runtime should be enough to last long for emergencies at a low brightness level. At the same time the  brightness should be enough to illuminate greater distances. And lastly  Arc6 should be durable enough to be used in range of situations including rain &amp; fire. To put it in simple words, here is a quote manufacturer &quot;&lt;i&gt;It should be at least as durable as the person carrying it&lt;/i&gt;&quot;.  Reflector in Arc6 is built from solid aluminium and it has a LOP finish. Lens protecting the LED and reflector is AR coated Sapphire lens. The bezel ring is built from Titanium (Ti-6AL-4V) and is crenellated. Arc6 uses advanced electronics fully regulated buck boost circuit to drive the LED. Arc6 has two programmable  light output levels with sufficient illumination for general illumination as well as high output demanding purposes. Body of Arc6 is built from 6061 Aluminum. Natural color hard anodized type III coating on Arc6 provides excellent environmental protection and resistance against wear and tear. Arc6 LS has dual switching mechanism. One is through twisting head and second is through  actuating the piston. There are O-ring seals  at various locations in head and battery tube for waterproofing. Arc6 is waterproof to 100 feet. Overall build quality of Arc6 is good. Arc6 flashlight is packaged in trapezoid shape white colored hard paper box. Arc6 box includes CR123 lithium battery. NyoGel 779ZC contains special additives for reducing wear of metal surfaces. NyoGel 779ZC works well for the flashlight o-rings at the bezel and tail cap as well as on threads on flashlights.&lt;br&gt;

NyoGel 759G is relatively soft, higher in viscosity grease that offers a smoother feeling and lower level of damping. Like 779ZC, Nyogel 759G is also a silica thickened, synthetic hydrocarbon grease. Nyogel 759G is designed for the lubrication and protection of electrical contacts. NyoGel 759G is rated for temperature ranging from -40&amp;deg;C to 125&amp;deg;C.&lt;br&gt;

NyoGel 760G is very similar to 759G. In fact, NyoGel 759G is now replaced by NyoGel 760G. NyoGel 760G offers slightly higher thermal stability and is rated for temperature ranging from -40&amp;deg;C to 135&amp;deg;C. In addition to that, NyoGel 760G has UV dye for inspection and copper passivator is added to it for enhanced corrosion prevention. Like Nyogel 759G, the NyoGel 760G is relatively soft, higher in viscosity grease offering a smoother feeling and lower level of damping. NyoGel 760G is also a synthetic hydrocarbon grease that is designed for the lubrication and protection of electrical contacts.&lt;br&gt;

Note that NyoGel Nyogel 779ZC, Nyogel 759G and Nyogel 760G are not electrically conductive but designed for lubricating surfaces that are conductive. They offer great environmental and corrosion protection and extend the life of components in use.&lt;br&gt;

Lighthound no longer carries NyoGel 759G and at the time of this review, Lighthound offers the latest Nyogel 779ZC and Nyogel 760G. This review is for 25 gram tubes of Nyogel 779ZC and Nyogel 759G that we have been using since as early as July 2006. But at the same time, if given time to rest between high current discharges, it is also true that the Alkaline battery has property to recover itself. To prove this, each day LRI Proton Pro was operated for 10 minutes for 9 days (total of 90 minutes) and corresponding light output was logged. Looking at the runtime test results below, it is clear that Alkaline battery would give far more runtime this way than a single continuous usage. Notice the peaks in light output, that actually marks the beginning of each day. Even after 9th day, the battery has not depleted completely. Another final continuation of test will be performed after resting the battery for 2 weeks. &lt;br&gt;

For lights that draw less current (less than 200 mA.. example driving a 5 mm LED @ 30 - 35 mA...) there wont be much of a difference weather the light is used continuously or used in smaller increments on day to day basis.&lt;/font&gt;
